Kids Party Venues Melbourne
If you don't want to have your child's party at home then consider a local park or community hall. Check out your local council website for options. Some things to consider if you are going to hold a party outside your home:
- If you are going to use a park check that it has facilities like toilets, picnic shelters/shade, etc.
- Make a checklist so that you remember to take everything with you that you might need, e.g. tables, chairs, esky, cooking utensils if having a bbq, cake server/candles/matches, suncream, etc.
- If you are going to try to play games or have an entertainer in a public space it can be difficult to gain and hold the attention of the kids if there is a playground and other things to distract them nearby
- If you want to have something like a jumping castle in a public park you need to get permission from your local council first

Bowen Street Community Centre is a community organisation run by a Committee of Management for the local community. Bowen Street Community Centre is particularily popular for children's birthday parties, offering a large playroom, kitchen and outdoor play area and is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00am - 1.30pm and from 1.30pm - 5.00pm.. Facilities include kitchen with oven, cooktop, fridge, freezer, pots, pans, plastic bowls, utensils, cups, urn and dishwasher plus kids tables, kids chairs, adults chairs, indoor and outdoor toys, dress-ups, kids toilets and adult toilets. There is also outdoor play equipment, a BBQ, shaded area and sandpit. Rules include no popcorn, no helium balloons, no nuts and rubbish must be taken home and the venue cleaned and vacuumed before leaving. Number of people the centre fits is 40 people inside and 40 people outside. Venue hire - $100 |
